Peace Pizzazz III: Weaving the Golden Rule Into Our Lives The Golden Rule is a moral truth endorsed by all of the great world religions. President Kennedy, in his 1963 anti-segregation appeal to the American people said "the heart of the question is...whether we are going to treat our fellow Americans as we want to be treated". Peace Pizzazz II: The Golden Rule, had a powerful, positive influence on student participants. Peace Pizzazz III:Weaving the Golden Rule Into Our Lives will build on that foundation to emphasize positive interaction toward others, advancing interfaith cooperation based on shared values. Application of The Golden Rule requires that children imagine themselves in another's place, on the receiving end of their actions. Peace Pizzazz III: Weaving The Golden Rule Into Our Lives, will be a celebration of knowledge gained and demonstrated with original works of art and literature. Educators participating in Peace Pizzazz III will receive a copy of Sneetches and Other Stories along with suggestions for projects activities and other books. This book by Dr. Suess helps children see the silliness of judging people by their appearance rather than by their character, to get along it is important to respect differences of others. Peace Pizzazz III will be held on May 22, 2011 from 1:30 to 4:00.
